Located in Selfridges at the Trafford Centre in Manchester, the San Carlo Champagne Bar is a haven of relaxation and elegance.

The vision for the San Carlo project was to create a shimmering cloud over the bar, reminiscent of champagne bubbles.

The effect was obtained by manufacturing 1000 individually cast glass discs of 20 cm diameter. Each disk was centrally sandblasted to create a unique dimensional nuance. The texture of the glass was kept completely raw, giving a fluctuating, bubbly effect.

Blown glass spheres were also created to enrich and enlight the middle of this ‘glass cloud’. The canopy and fixing system used to support the chandelier were engineered by Made in WonderGlass group.
