HERMÈS MAISON BOND STREET
Location | Bond Street (London)
Architects | RDAI
Hermès's new London flagship spans six Grade II-listed buildings on New Bond Street, brought together by architects RDAI under Denis Montel and crowned by a steel-and-glass atrium roof designed by Foster + Partners. Across 55 rooms, the project layers original 18th- and 19th-century detailing with contemporary interventions, each space dedicated to one of the house's sixteen métiers.
Within the atrium, the once-mirrored south wall is now lined in mirrored glass bricks manufactured by NVR. The design reinterprets a classic Manchester brick — the pressed red brick historically tied to the city's industrial architecture — recast entirely in glass, turning a familiar British material into something reflective and precise.
